When?: Saturday, September 9th. All volunteers must be able to commit to volunteer from 8:30am - 12:00pm and attend the Kick-Off Rally prior to the service projects.
Do I have to come to the kick-off rally?: Yes! ALL volunteers are required to come to the Volunteer Kick-Off Rally that will take place at Hart Park (7:00am - 8:15am) on September 9th, immediately prior to the start of the projects. You will be able to sign in, get your shirt, meet your team leader, participate in our kick-off ceremony, and grab some breakfast! At 8:15 you will start making your way to the Boys and Girls Club.
What do I need to bring?: All volunteers should bring their completed waiver and a water bottle.
Can children volunteer?: For safety reasons no children under the age of 6 are allowed to participate, no exceptions. Children between the ages of 6-14 must be accompanied by an adult is also registered to volunteer.
Can I sign up my family/colleagues?: Every person MUST be registered in order to participate. If you would like to sign up your child/group, please make sure you click on the "respond as a team" button which is located immediately the right of the "respond" button. However, anyone over the age of 13 is strongly encouraged to create their own account so that their volunteers hours can be verified and tracked accordingly.
Can I wait to register and just show up the day of?: Most of our projects will fill up prior to the 9th so walk-ins will be limited! Shirt sizes are only guaranteed for those signed up by August 25th.
Can I sign up and volunteer for just an hour?: No, each project has been planned in according to the number of volunteers and the three hours it will take in order to be completed.
